Game Intro

Shadow Fight 2 is the unique action fight mechanics that meet story-driven arcane mode. People play with friends or AI in a sparring mode, which is super fun, or, if they’re into the RPG component of it all, they complete the main story. Playing as the Shadow, a mysterious protagonist, they compete in tournaments, complete side quests, and unlock unique skills to beat a string of opponents that stand in their way to the seventh province. There, a mystery of surprise on the Shadow’s teacher’s face when he’s seen them for the first time in years will reveal itself.

Developed for mobile platforms and then ported to Windows, now Shadow Fight 2 — with iLogos’ assistance — is released on Nintendo Switch!

Challenges & Goals

To port Shadow Fight 2 from mobile platforms to Nintendo Switch, integrate all Nintendo-related SDKs, adjust controls for a platform — so they’d look and feel natural on the new screen, and prepare the Nintendo!version for reviews & publishing.

Well, we did all that, successfully reaching a new segment of action fighting enthusiasts for Shadow Fight 2 and Nekki while saving costs of hiring Nintendo experts in-house. Nintendo! Shadow Fight 2 increased the game’s revenue and player’s satisfaction — we’ve transferred the game without giving up its quality or the essence of its physics-driven fights. It’s just as good on Nintendo now.

Solutions & Expertise

Our team adopted Shadow Fight 2’s design to Nintendo, so it’d look native for the platform. Our developers incorporated requirements Nintendo has for games that are published on their platform into the game’s architecture. We’ve also integrated a controls scheme for Nintendo’s Joy-Con controllers — so the strategy-based fighting style Nekko’s game is so famous for is just as interesting to master on Nintendo, too.
