Game Intro

Sometimes, people like to vent and unwind, relax, and become a shark. More than 10 million people wanted to become a shark after Ubisoft released Hungry Shark World in May of 2016.

The rules are simple: you eat as much seafood & humanfood as you can as a shark, you score points, you avoid danger. If you’re successful, you become a bigger, more terrifying shark. Straightforward and extremely enjoyable, and with cheery music accompanying your hunger.

iLogos was tasked with porting the game to Facebook after it’s seen a bit of a downfall — and believe us, Facebook users also loved destroying everything that came their way as a shark.

Our Contribution to This Game

Challenges & Goals

iLogos was tasked with porting the game to Facebook for the special event called Shark Week, a big US marketing campaign run by Discovery Channel. The developer did not have the internal resources to make the game in such a short time frame that is why they came to iLogos to do that.

Value

And we did. Facebook users also loved destroying everything that came their way as apex predators. Porting to Facebook significantly increased people’s awareness about the Hungry Shark World — and that increased Ubisoft’s revenue from the project.

Solutions & Expertise

We’ve reverse-engineered the game from original versions and recreated & refreshed everything players loved from the Hungry Shark Evolution.
